ACRIMONIOUS "Sunyata", Agonia Records CD ´12, GRC

Po 3 rokoch vydávajú grécky black metaloví Acrimonious nový počin. Nesie názov Sunyata. Osobne ma teší už len ten pohľad na psychedelický obal. V porovnaní s obalom ich debutu „Purulence“ je skutočne farebný a tak akosi progresívne inakší. Tiež sa teším skutočnosti, že black metal nie je už dávno záležitosť iba severských krajín. Ale krásne expanduje do celého sveta.
Nechcem chodiť dlho okolo horúcej kaše. Prejdem rovno k technickej stránke albumu. Pokiaľ čakáte primitívny black metal, smola. Iste si niekto povie že „však v Grécku, tam nevedia tvoriť hudbu čierneho kovu.“ Pozor teda, aby Vám sánka neklesla poriadne nízko. Pretože technicky sú na tom veľmi dobre. Presné, úderné, dynamické. Taktiež však pestré, prirodzené a nenásilné melodické. To sa nie vždy v prípade black metalových zoskupení objaví. Dodržané sú klasické hudobné postupnosti tohto žánru. Blast-beaty bicí, basa tvoriaca medzičlánok v tomto celku, zvanom Acrimonious. Gitaristi a ich hra, striedanie rôznych témp. Klasický „čmeliak“, disharmonické pentatoniky. Miestami krížené ľahko depresívne black metalovým štepom. Avšak nie bez hlavé. Veľmi systematické, ba až progresívne a rozhodne aj melodické. Evidentne sa chalani neboja vložiť prvok zvaný melodickosť do svojej tvorby. Počul som názor, že hudobne sú Acrimonious niečo ako „grécky WATAIN.“ Môj názor je však troška inakší. Zatiaľ čo v poslednej dobe sa čierne spolky zo studeného severu, žiaľ ako keby vykrádali seba samých alebo nenápadné, za to však počuteľne kopírovali svojich hudobných kolegov. Grécke kapely, napríklad spomínaný Acrimonious si však tvorí vlastnú hudobnú tvár. A pritom vôbec to neuberá na pekelnosti. Cain pekne narába so svojím hlasom. Havraní škrekot, šepot, recitovanie, chorál. Celá škála hlasových postupností. Toto album nenudí. Teda v prípade technického potenciálu určite.
A pocitové vnemy? Nemôžem povedať nič negatívne. Nechcem hodnotiť ktorá skladba je lepšia. Alebo horšia. Každá jedná má svoj punc originálnosti. Sú čitateľné. Sú živelné. Sú zvodné. Naskakuje mi z nich husia koža. To je znak, že hudba je skutočne dobre skomponovaná. Nechávam svoje psyché nasávať atmosféru albumu. Je tu cítiť kombináciu žánrov. Okrem black metalu a štipky depresívnej odnože, taktiež občasné heavy metalové postupy. A tiež sa mi zdá, že sa objavuje aj rockový duch 70tych rokov s okultným odkazom pretaveným do hudby. Moja duša sa dostáva do určitej formy tranzu. Skutočne si súzvuk týchto tónov užíva. Doslova rastie. Síce sa dostáva do sveta cesty ľavej ruky, kde panujú iné pravidlá. Pre ľudí ťažko pochopiteľné. Ale, človek tvor od prirodzenosti zvedavý je. Vždy ho zaujímali a priťahovali veci, tajomné, nepreskúmané. Akože sa to hovorí? Zakázané ovocie chutí najlepšie? Tak je tomu i v tomto prípade.
Veľmi ťažko sa hľadá niečo negatívne. Niečo čo by som mohol označiť ako mínus tejto mystickej seansy. Ak mám túto nahrávku ohodniť, dám jej 9 bodov z 10. A to iba preto, aby boľ ďalší album rovnako dobrý ako tento. Alebo ešte lepší? To by som potom rovno dal bodov 10.

After three years, issued by the Greek black metal Acrimonious new act. Bears the name Sunyata. Personally, I am happy with one thing, those psychedelic cover. Compared with cover of their debut "Purulence" it´s really colorful and so somehow progressive differently. I also look forward fact that black metal is not just a matter long ago the Nordic countries. But the beauty is expanding around the world.
Do not go long around the bush. Get straight to the technical side of the album. Unless you are expecting primitive black metal, shame. Surely someone says that "in Greece, however, there can not create music of black metal." Watch therefore, that you properly jaw does not drop low. Because technically they are doing very well. Accurate, striking, dynamic. But also colorful, natural, peaceful melody. This is not always the case in black metal bands appear. Are respected classic musical sequences of the genre. Blast-beat drums, bass forming the interface in this group, called Acrimonious. Guitarists and their game, substitution of different topics. Classic "bumblebee", dissonant pentatonic. Places easily crossed depressive black metal graft. But not without a head. Very systematic, progressive or even a decision as melodic. Obviously, the guys are not afraid to insert an element called melody in his work. I heard the opinion that musically the acrimonious something like "Greek Watain." My opinion is, however, a little differently. While recently the black metal groups from the cold north, unfortunately like robbing themselves or understated, but behind it audibly copied his musical colleagues. Greek band, for example, mentioned Acrimonious, however, create their own musical face. Yet not to detract from the hellishness. Cain handled nicely with your voice. Raven shriek, whisper, recitation, chant. A full range of voice sequences. This album is not boring. Thus, in case of technical potential for sure.
A feeling things? I can not say anything negative. I don´t want to evaluate which song is better. Or worse. Each case has its own hallmark of originality. They are readable. They are natural. They are seductive. It gives me goose bumps them. This is a sign that the music is composed by really good. Letting their psyche soak up the atmosphere of the album. There is a feeling blending different genres. Except for a hint of black metal depressive offshoots, also occasional heavy metal processes. And also it seems to me that it appears the spirit of rock 70 years of remelting with occult references to music. My soul gets into some form of trance. Indeed, the harmony of these tones enjoyed. Literally grows. Although he gets to the world through his left hand, where there is other rules. Hard for people to understand. But one thing is curious by nature. He was always interested and attracted to things mysterious, unexplored. I mean are you talking about? Forbidden fruit tastes the best? It is the same in this case.
Very difficult to be looking for something negative. Something I could identify this as less mystical session. If I Score this pass, I will give it 9 points out of 10. And this just to be another album as good as this. Or even better? I would then put straight points 10th.
